"World Cheese Tour"

Grab your Virtual Suitcase and join me on a tasting tour of some of the world's finest cheeses. I’m the weekly cheese columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, and I want to introduce you to some of the cheeses I love best. Over five evenings, we'll compare New World cheeses with their Old World inspirations; meet some of the most promising "new kids on the block"; sample prizewinners from across the country; explore the affinity between cheese and craft beer; and, to cap the series, savor some bubbly with the cheeses that love it. Come once if you like...or sign on for the Grand Tour.

Fish Story, Napa Valley's premier seafood restaurant, is our host. We'll gather on the riverfront terrace for an aperitif and hors d'oeuvre, then sit down indoors for a taste exploration.

During these guided sessions, you'll sample a variety of cheese styles and hone your tasting skills. I'll also share some tips on how to select, store and serve cheese. Exceptional cheeses with hand-picked wines and beersdifferent every time. Treat a friend. Bring a date. Or purchase classes as a gift. Stay for dinner at Fish Story and enjoy 10% off your dining that evening.

"I have taken almost 30 classes at the Cheese School of San Francisco, and if I had to pick one instructor who I felt was the best of the best, it would be Janet Fletcher."
