Join me at Napa Valley’s newest showplace—HALL Wines in St. Helena—for four evenings of themed cheese exploration.  I’m an award-winning food writer and the author of three books on cheese (Cheese & Wine, Cheese & Beer and The Cheese Cheese), and I want to introduce you to some of the cheeses I love best. Over four evenings, you'll sample exceptional wheels from France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and all across the U.S.—accompanied by fine wines from the HALL Wines collection. Kathryn and Craig Hall have created a stunning, art-filled winery that all Napa Valley is talking about.  We’ll gather for an aperitif and a nibble in the dining garden, with its dramatic sunset views of the Mayacamas mountains, then be seated in the demonstration kitchen for our tasting. I’ll guide you through the selections and help you boost your cheese IQ.  You’ll be a more knowledgeable consumer and a smarter cheese shopper when you leave.

During these lively and informal sessions, you'll sample a variety of cheese styles and hone your tasting skills. I'll also share some tips on how to select, store and serve cheese. Cancellation policy: If you are unable to attend a class for any reason, your reservation fee is non-refundable but you may send a friend in your place. If Janet Fletcher must cancel a class, students will have the option of receiving a refund or applying any fees paid to a future class.
